The SMA Energy Meter is a powerful metering device for intelligent energy management within the SMA Smart Home that collects accurate and balanced measurements for the phase, acting as a meter for the electricity supplied from the grid. It transmits these values via Speedwire. All data on generated photovoltaic energy, purchased electricity and grid-supplied energy can be transmitted via a standard Ethernet cable to, for example, Sunny Home Manager or, in future, Sunny Boy Smart Energy. This facilitates optimum energy monitoring, efficient load and battery management and reliable limitation of active power at the point of grid connection, while also taking into account consumption for own consumption.
